Typists must have fast and accurate typing and 10-key typing speeds, and they may deliver their work in hard copy or electronic form. Becoming a typist is a great job opportunity for people with exceptionally fast and accurate typing. Anywhere between 55 to 90 wpm is considered an efficient speed in these fields. Typists' daily work consists of writing reports, correspondence, and any other provided content and putting it into a specified format. They can join any firm as typist after passing their intermediate exam. But such candidates should have studied a typewriting or computer course from any institute. Reputed firms demand graduates for the job of typist, if they possess required typing speed. Technically, it is a skill, but if you think about it, typing is more of a tool. But it is a skill in the sense that if you learn you how to type fast, there are many things you can do with it. There are many jobs that require typing, and in that case, it would be a skill, like many other things.
